Marc Ferrie – CEO and Chairman

Marc Ferrie now leads the team at RiverMuse as the CEO and Chairman. Previously he was the Senior Vice President of Engineering. Marc brings two decades of executive experience in delivering enterprise software solutions. Previously, Marc was the Senior Vice President of Engineering at GuardianEdge, a leader in endpoint data protection. Prior to GuardianEdge, he was the Vice President of Engineering at Elemental Security, a leader in enterprise policy and risk management. Marc has also led engineering and technical operations (Customer Support, IT, hosted ops) at companies such as Ventaso, a provider of sales effectiveness solutions, and Evolve Software (now Oracle), a leading provider of IT operations management and professional services automation. Prior to this, Marc held numerous executive management positions at Computer Associates and Ingres in France and the U.S., in both Engineering and Customer Service.

Marc holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the University Descartes, Paris, and a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University La Sorbonne, Paris.

RiverMuse Advisory Board

JL Valente

JL has recently joined in an advisory capacity. Previously he led the team at RiverMuse as the President and CEO. Over the years, JL has held global senior sales, marketing and operations positions at software companies ranging from CA, Viasoft (now ASG), InfoVista and most recently CITTIO. As CITTIO’s Executive Chairman, JL pioneered the company’s efforts of its well-regarded cloud computing initiative. Prior to that, JL ran the Americas Operations of InfoVista where he engaged in successful business transformation, bringing innovation to market, receiving awards and accolades along the way. Over a 10-year period from ‘87 to ‘96, JL was integral to Computer Associates’ successes running regional and international marketing as well as building and leading a P&L for CA in Iberia. JL speaks French, Spanish and English and holds a Master of Computer Science degree from Ecole d’Ingénieurs des Technologies de I’Information et du Management (EFREI), Paris, France.

Con Blackett

Principle of IT service management operations at BT until recently, Blackett possesses top business acumen and weighty technical skills in network and systems management, collected over 25 years across Europe and North America. A true industry veteran of the telecom industry, Blackett is regarded by many as a prime influencer and his Midas touch has aided the futures of dominating products such as HP OpenView and IBM Tivoli. Interestingly, Blackett was also responsible for the first ever implementation of Netcool (from Micromuse) at BT- worldwide.

Clive Foreman

Clive is VP in the Cisco Systems Network Management Technology Group (NMTG). He has been responsible for the core of Cisco’s Enterprise network management portfolio, including network & service performance assurance, network configuration & compliance, unified communications & video management, and future management SaaS offerings. The Cisco management portfolio has over 25,000 customers worldwide. Clive has extensive networking, server systems, and software industry experience. Prior to joining Cisco he was VP/GM at Nortel Networks, responsible for Enterprise and Managed Services management offerings, including the Optivity product line. Previously at Nortel, Clive led the high-performance Ethernet switching business unit. Clive is a graduate of University of Essex, England.
